Payment Policy

1. Overview

This Payment Policy describes the terms and conditions under which National Press Club Nepal (NPCN) accepts, processes, and manages payments for its services, events, memberships, and any other fees payable to the organization.

2. Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

• Bank Transfer: Transfer to NPCN’s designated Nepalese bank account (details will be provided on the invoice).
• Credit / Debit Cards: Visa, MasterCard, and American Express (processed through a secure third‑party payment gateway).
• Mobile Money: eSewa, Khalti, and IME Pay.
• Cash: Direct cash payment at our office located in Anamnagar, besides Madan Bhandari Memorial College.

3. Billing & Invoicing

All fees are invoiced in Nepalese Rupees (NPR) unless otherwise agreed in writing. Invoices are issued:

• Upon registration for an event or membership.
• Monthly for recurring subscriptions.
• When a service request is completed.

Invoices include a breakdown of charges, payment due date, and accepted payment methods. Payments are considered received on the date they are cleared by our bank or payment processor.

4. Refunds & Cancellations

Refund eligibility depends on the nature of the service:

1. Events & Workshops: Full refund if cancellation is made at least 14 days before the event start date. Cancellations made within 14 days will be charged a 25% administrative fee. No refunds are issued after the event has commenced.
2. Memberships: Membership fees are non‑refundable once the membership period has begun. A prorated refund may be considered if a written request is received within 7 days of activation.
3. Custom Services: Refunds are handled on a case‑by‑case basis and must be approved in writing before any payment is returned.

All approved refunds will be processed using the same method as the original payment and may take up to 10 business days to appear in the payer’s account.

5. Late Payment & Fees

If payment is not received by the due date indicated on the invoice, the following charges apply:

• A flat late fee of NPR 500 for the first overdue notice.
• An additional 2% of the outstanding amount per month thereafter.

Repeated late payments may result in suspension of services or membership privileges until the account is brought current.

6. Payment Security

All online transactions are processed through PCI‑DSS compliant payment gateways. Card details are never stored on NPCN servers. For bank transfers, we recommend double‑checking account numbers and using secure internet connections.

7. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes regarding charges must be submitted in writing to the contact information below within 30 days of the invoice date. NPCN will investigate the matter and respond within 15 business days. If a resolution cannot be reached amicably, the dispute will be subject to the governing law of Nepal.

8. Changes to This Policy

NPCN reserves the right to modify this Payment Policy at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email to the address on record or posted prominently on our website.
